Work on a legal contract request

    • As a member of the legal contracts support team, review and revise a contract document as per the requested changes. Upload the revised document to the request and send the document to the requester from within the request.

    Vorbereitungen

    The practice area lead or group manager should have assigned you the request. If not, you can open the request to assign it to yourself or someone in the group.

    Role required: sn_lg_ops.legal_fulfiller

    Warum und wann dieser Vorgang ausgeführt wird

    As a collaborator added to a request, you can access and work on the request just as assignees can. However, you can't modify the Assigned to and Assignment group fields.

    Hinweis:
    During times when you're unavailable, you can delegate your legal duties to other users.

    Prozedur

    1. Navigate to All > Legal Request > Legal Counsel Center.
    2. Click the list icon (List icon).
    3. In the Lists tab, open a legal request by selecting an option under Legal Requests.
      OptionSteps
      As an assignee
      1. Select the Assigned to Me option.
      2. Select a request to work on.
      3. If the request is newly assigned to you, select Start Work to start working on the request.

        The state of the legal request is Work in progress and the document is Legal review.
      As a collaborator
      1. Select the Collaborations option.
      2. Select a request to work on.
    4. Wahlweise: If you need help from other fulfillers to work on the legal request, add them in the Collaborators field.
      Hinweis:
      Users with the sn_lg_contracts.contracts_fulfiller role are listed in the Collaborators field.
      The collaborators are notified via email that they have been added as collaborators to a legal request.
    5. Wahlweise: Initiate an ad hoc approval for a legal request or its attachment for the legal request or its attachments when an approval is required from other stakeholders.
    6. Wahlweise: In the Signatories tab, review the signatories for the contract document and their status.
    7. In the Activity section, review the changes requested by the requester and make necessary changes in the contract document.
      For the contract documents is in DOCX format,
      • When external storage is configured, you can edit and save the document revision directly from the external storage.
      • When internal storage is configured, download the contract document, edit, save it and upload it using Create revision option.
    8. Upload the revised contract document.
      1. In the Document Revisions tab, click Create Revision.
      2. In the Upload Revision dialog box, click the Attach File link and upload the revised document.
      3. Wahlweise: Add work notes to provide any information on the attached document.
      4. If the attached file is the final revision and is ready to be sent to the requester for review and confirmation, select the Mark as ready check box.
      5. Click Upload.
      The attached document is added to the request. The revision number of the latest document is one higher than the previous document revision number. The document is listed in the Document Revisions tab.
    9. Click Send Document to send the contract document that is marked as ready to the requester.

    Ergebnisse

    The updated document is sent to the requester for the review. The document status updates to Document Ready.
