Clause Management
Clause management enables you to effectively manage a library of clauses, clause variations, and word document templates.
Clause
A clause is a collection of clause variations, which contain a block of content.
Clause variations
A clause variation is a block of content, which can be dynamically added to the contract document, eliminating the need for several templates for the same type of request. For example, say that for a Non-disclosure Agreement contract document only one section needs to be changed based on the geographic region of the signing entity. You would create multiple document templates with identical content with the only difference being location-related content. You could now use the condition-based clause variations to create only one contract template that can generate documents for different locations. For more information, see Configure dynamic clauses for contract templates.
Clause Management benefits
- Effectively manage a library of clause variations using Clause Management.
- Use clause variations to dynamically place content in a contract depending on the specified conditions.
- Use contract templates to dynamically generate contracts for different conditions instead of having to create contracts for different circumstances manually.
- Add clauses from clause library to the contract revision during authoring or negotiation.
