Discovery Models form fields
- Display name: Automatically generated name combining discovered publisher, product, and version for easy identification in lists.
- Normalization status: Indicates the normalization progress of the software discovery data, with statuses such as Normalized, Partially Normalized, Publisher Normalized, Match Not Found, and Manually Normalized. A caution icon appears if normalization suggestions exist, linking to those records.
- Publisher, Product, Version: Normalized values representing the software details used for consistent asset management.
- Discovered publisher, product, version: Raw data gathered from discovery before normalization.
- Additional Information: Key attributes including:
- Product type: Categorizes software as Child (subcomponent), Driver, Licensable, Not Licensable, Patch, or Unknown. Changing from Unknown updates normalization status to Manually Normalized. Only licensable products are considered during reconciliation.
- Platform: Supported operating systems like Windows, macOS, UNIX.
- Language: Languages discovered, including Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, with more possible if found.
- Edition and Full version: Normalized edition and detailed version info.
- Exclude from content service: Option to prevent transfer of software discovery model details to the Software Asset Management Content Service, applicable only for custom products when opted in.
Software Installation related list fields
- Display name: Name of the installed software as shown in lists.
- Publisher: Name of the software publisher.
- Version: Software version installed.
- Installed on: Hardware device name where the software is installed.
