    • The ServiceNow® Industrial Connected Workforce (ICW) Core is the foundational application that powers the entire ICW suite. This application provides the shared data models, governance structures, workflows, and integration framework required for consistent and reliable industrial operations. All other ICW applications depend on ICW Core for unified execution, cross‑application interoperability, and enterprise‑wide alignment. ICW Core is a new application in the Australia release.

    Industrial Connected Workforce Core
    Centralize all critical industrial entities like organizations, equipment, functional locations, calendars, and workers into a single authoritative data layer to eliminate data silos and drive consistency across your operations.
    ICW Core enables consistency across all ICW applications and eliminates data duplication.
    ICW Pro plugin (app-icw-analytics) uses this unified structure to provide advanced reporting and analytics across plants, production lines, and maintenance groups.
    Structural Enhancements
    Align your operational data and execution by using enhanced digital models for organizational units, asset hierarchies, shift calendars, and worker attributes.
    These models support the standards plugin (app-icw-std), guided tasks plugin (app-icw-igt), deviations, and actions and reduce configuration duplication across sites.
    Automation & Archival
    Reduce data clutter and maintain compliance by automating the archival of Action, Deviation, and root cause analysis (RCA) records after inactivity.
    Default retention period of 24 months, configurable via system properties.
    Administrative controls to activate or deactivate archival rules.
    User Experience & Usability
    Access assistance, recommendations, related actions, and attachments through a configurable contextual sidebar to streamline your daily workflows.
    Administrator-controlled visibility options and personalized user preferences.
    Roles and Permission Framework
    Simplify administration and improve governance by using the expanded ICW role structure, which includes domain‑specific expert and user roles for actions, deviations, RCAs, and knowledge.
    Permission inheritance is refined across operational workflows and content types to simplify administration and improve governance.

    Activation information

    ICW Core is automatically installed when you install Industrial Connected Workforce Mobile Experience as part of the ICW Foundational SKU. You can request ICW Mobile from the ServiceNow Store.     Industrial Guided Tasks (IGT) creates structured, step‑by‑step workflows used for critical industrial activities. ICW Core standardizes equipment, functional locations, calendars, worker profiles, and industrial task records. IGT requires this data for task authoring, assignment, and execution.

    Delivers ICW capabilities to frontline workers through a mobile‑first interface. Mobile apps rely on ICW Core for data integrity, user profiles, work assignments, and task execution records.
