The ServiceNow®
Industrial Standards application provides a centralized, governed framework to define, publish, and maintain operational standards across plants and production lines. This application enables consistency through
versioned definitions, reusable templates, and automated schedules that generate executable work. With clear life-cycle controls and skills‑aware enforcement, it improves quality, traceability, and compliance at scale. Industrial Standards is a new application in the Australia release.

## Industrial Standards highlights for the Australia release {#icw-industrial-standards-rn__iicw-industrial-standards-highlights}

* Create and manage operational standards faster with a new authoring experience that includes built‑in guidance, validation, and structure rules.
* Find and compare standards efficiently using an enhanced Standards Hub with faster filtering and optimized layouts for any screen size.
* Align task generation with shift handovers and production calendars through scheduling engine improvements that include offset configuration and richer recurrence patterns.
* Skills‑based execution controls help to ensure that qualified operators are performing the designated work.
* Strengthen your audit process with a structured versioning model that logically categorizes standards across their life cycle.

## Industrial Standards features {#icw-industrial-standards-rn__iicw-industrial-standards-new-features}

[Industrial Standards Library](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=industrial-standards-library&version=australia&pubname=australia-industrial-connected-workforce&ft:locale=en-US)
: Browse and compare standards using an upgraded hub that provides tile and list views with filters for state, scope, category, functional location, and equipment model.
: Users can quickly compare similar standards and see linked tasks, skills, and knowledge.
: Access policies differentiate enterprise and site standards to help prevent misapplication.

[Scheduling standards](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=scheduling-standards&version=australia&pubname=australia-industrial-connected-workforce&ft:locale=en-US)
: Generate recurring work from standards by configuring daily, weekly, monthly, and custom scheduling patterns to maintain a consistent operational cadence.
: A system property (for example, an offset in minutes) lets admins align task creation with shift handovers or production calendar boundaries.
: Runtime tracing improves visibility into created tasks, their status, and exceptions.

[Skill-based task management](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=skill-based-task-management&version=australia&pubname=australia-industrial-connected-workforce&ft:locale=en-US)
: Define required skills or certifications within standards to ensure that only qualified operators execute safety‑critical tasks. Supervisors can request waivers or alternative routing when skills are missing.

## Activation information {#icw-industrial-standards-rn__iicw-industrial-standards-activation}

Industrial Standards is automatically installed when you install Industrial Connected Workforce Mobile Experience as part of the ICW Foundational SKU. You can request ICW Mobile from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the [ServiceNow Store](https://store.servicenow.com/sn_appstore_store.do#!/store/home) to view all the available apps, and for information about submitting requests to the store. ## Related ServiceNow applications and features {#icw-industrial-standards-rn__icw-industrial-standards-related-apps}

[Industrial Connected Workforce Core](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=industrial-connected-workforce-core-landing-page&version=australia&pubname=australia-industrial-connected-workforce&ft:locale=en-US)
: ICW Core provides the foundational data models, workflows, and governance structures that power the entire Industrial Connected Workforce suite. It standardizes how organizations, equipment hierarchies, calendars, worker profiles, and industrial records are represented across applications. All other ICW applications rely on ICW Core for consistent execution, shared services, and data interoperability.

[Industrial Guided Tasks](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=industrial-standards-landing-page&version=australia&pubname=australia-industrial-connected-workforce&ft:locale=en-US)
: Industrial Guided Tasks delivers structured, step‑by‑step digital workflows that guide operators through critical industrial activities. It supports assessment‑based scoring, automation triggers, and
    life-cycle governance for accurate and traceable task execution. Guided tasks are often generated from Industrial Standards and integrate with ICW Core for data, workflows, and reporting.

[ICW Mobile Experience](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=icw-mobile-exp-landing-page&version=australia&pubname=australia-industrial-connected-workforce&ft:locale=en-US)
: The ICW Mobile Experience provides a mobile‑first interface that enables frontline workers to perform tasks, report deviations, and access standards and knowledge while on the shop
    floor. It offers offline readiness, barcode or QR scanning, and streamlined execution flows optimized for industrial environments. Mobile capabilities extend the functions of ICW Core, Industrial Standards, and Industrial Guided Tasks directly to operators' handheld devices.
