Filtering the alert display in the Express List pane
Filters help you create different views of categorized alerts, creating a targeted list of alerts to prioritize and focus on, saving time and minimizing distractions.
The fields in the interactive Filters pane in Express List help you create different views of alerts. The default filters are determined by the selected Express List view.
You can interactively view the result of adding or removing any of the fields. The numbers next to each attribute indicate the number of alerts that are returned.
Alternatively, you can turn on the Use advanced filters option to set complex filters using a condition builder. The and/or logic provides more flexibility in filtering the alerts.
In the Filters pane, you can perform the following actions:
- Filter by string, number, or date attributes. For more information, see Filter the Express List display using attributes.
- Add filters to or remove filters from the default filter list to focus on the applied filters. The most common filters are State, Priority, CI, and Impacted services. For more information, see Filter the Express List display by adding or removing fields
- Add or remove alert tags. Tags enable you to identify and group alerts easily without the need for discovery or accessing the CMDB. For more information, see Categorize alerts displayed in Express List
- Display or hide alerts that match a selected alert. For more information, see Filter out or show matching alerts.
- Save, delete, assign as the default, or share the filter layout. For more information, see Save a custom filter in Express List.
