Create a child task

  • Add child tasks to a workplace case when needed. The application enables you to create a child task instantly from the case details page.

    Before you begin

    Verify that you have installed the required plugins.

    Role required: sn_wsd_case.workplace_agent

    Procedure

    1. Log in to Agent Workplace Service for Mobile application.
      The launch screen opens with your Work view.
    2. On the Work view page, go to any one of the following sections to open the case to which you want to add a child task.
      • My work overview
      • My work
      • Group work
      • Unassigned work
    3. Select the case.
      The case details page of the selected case opens separately.
    4. Select the More actions icon. icon on the top right of the header.
    5. Select Create task.
    6. On the form, fill in the fields.
      On the form, the Parent case field is automatically set with the case number of the case to which you are adding this child task.

      Field Description
      State Set the state of the task.
      Priority Set the priority of the task.
      Short description Enter a short description about the task.
      Description Enter a detailed description about the task.
      Workplace task type Select the type of task.
      Workplace location Select the location for which you’re creating the task.
      Workplace service item Select the workplace item if you the task is associated with a workplace service item.
      Assignment group Select the assignment group to which the task belongs.
      Assigned to Select the user agent to whom you want to assign the task.
      Vendor Select the suitable vendor.
      Sign template Select a signing template.
    7. Select Submit.

    Result

    The child task is created. After creation, the child task details are displayed in a separate page. For more information about actions that you can perform on a task, refer to Edit or view a child task.
