Review the imported skills

  • Verify uploaded skills data in the Skills Intelligence Workspace to remove duplicate skills, normalize the skills to create a comprehensive skills database, and train the predictive intelligence model to recognize duplications in the future.

    About this task

    Note:
    Skills that have the Marked as duplicate or Archived status cannot be modified. You have to change the skill's status back to Ready for review to modify them.

    Before you begin

    Role required: admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Skills Intelligence Workspace > Lists.
    2. Go to Skills onboarding > Ready for review.
    3. If the Possible match column is empty, select Create skill to add the skills to the Skills [cmn_skills] table.
    4. If you do not have time to review suggested matches in the Possible match column, select Archive to postpone the review and revisit them later.
    5. Mark as duplicate.

      Note:
      The predictive intelligence model gives a possible match with a confidence percentage to help you decide whether a skill is new or a possible duplicate.

      You are not sure whether the suggested skill is a duplicate
      1. Select the skill suggestion.
      2. In the skill form, review the updated suggestion in the Possible match field.
        • If the updated suggestion is acceptable, select Mark as duplicate.
        • If it's not acceptable, see more skills suggestions by selecting the Search icon (Search icon) and evaluating the skills.
          Note:
          The top five possible matches with an 80% match threshold are displayed in a pop-up window.
      3. Based on your evaluation, either mark a suggested skill as a duplicate or add the skill to the Skills [cmn_skills] table by selecting Create skill.
    7. Select Save.

    Result

    The marked skills are displayed in the Marked as duplicate, Archived skills, and Created skills lists under Skills onboarding.
