    Role required: admin

    About this task

With the recent security enhancements in Engagement Messenger following the v5.5.4 upgrade, the guest users are no longer able to access information using the Show records from any table feature. To enable access for guest users, it’s necessary to include a table mapping in the Public Table Allow List related list. This mapping allows guest users to access information from the mapped tables.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Service Portal > Widgets.
    2. On the Widgets page, search and select Show Data from any Table in the Name column.
    3. On the Show Data from any Table page, select Public Table Allow List in the related list.
      Note:
If a message appears about the application scope, select here to be able to edit the record.
    4. Select New to add a table.
    5. On the form, fill in the fields.
      Table 1. New record form
      Field Description
      Widget Name of the widget.
Application The application that contains this configuration record.
Tables Tables that you want to enable for guest users.
    6. Select Submit.
You must follow the same procedure to configure tables for the EM Record Feature widget and EM Cards List.

    Result

In Engagement Messenger, the guest users can access the information from the table you mapped.
