Customize tabs in the contextual side panel for a process page variant

  • Add customized tabs in the contextual side panel in  the CSM Configurable Workspace application so that your agent can use the tabs to view the case information, add attachments, view recommendations, and so on. By default, all cases have a contextual side panel with multiple tabs in  CSM Configurable Workspace.

    Before you begin

    Role required: workspace_admin, ui_builder_admin, admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > New Experience Framework > UI Builder.
    2. Select one of the following Page collections depending on whether you're customizing the tabs for an onboarding, complaint, or product support case.
      Case typePage collection
      Complaint Complaint process left panel page collection
      Complaint Complaint process sidebar top-level tabs
      Complaint Complaint process sidebar bottom-level tabs
      Onboarding Onboarding process left panel page collection
      Onboarding Onboarding process sidebar top-level tabs
      Onboarding Onboarding process sidebar bottom-level tabs
      Product Support Product Support process left panel page collection
      Product Support Product Support process sidebar top-level tabs
      Product Support Product Support process sidebar bottom-level tabs
    3. In the Page and variants section, select the plus icon to create a page, add a variant to a page, or add custom content into the page.
    4. In the Set up your page details pop-up window, enter a name for the page.
    5. Select Continue.
    6. Create a default page by entering a name for the variant and selecting Create.
      The new page appears under the Pages and variants list.
    7. Select the newly created page name.
    8. Add a component to the page collection by selecting +Add component.
      You can create a subpage that gets displayed in the contextual side panel.

    Result

    The added component gets displayed on the UI. The location depends on where you want to create the custom content on the page.
