Create a topic

  • Create a topic for users to create and share content.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_communities.admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Community > Administration > Topics.
    2. Click New.
    3. On the form, fill in the fields.
      Table 1. Topic form
      Field Description
      Name Name of the topic.
      Description A short description to define what the topic is.
      Parent The parent topic, if required. If you enter a parent topic, the topic is listed as a subtopic of the parent topic.
      Image An image that provides a visual reference that describes the topic.
      Knowledge category used for harvesting The knowledge category used to categorize community discussions harvested to knowledge articles.
    4. Click Submit.
      The topic is created and added to the list of topics.
