Configure action types

    • Configure action types based on the behavior action as an action type.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sp_admin or sn_hr_sp.esc_admin

    About this task

    Action group provides quick access to approve or reject the requests directly from the approvals page. You can modify the actions to suit your business needs.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Employee Center > Action framework > Actions.
    2. Click New or edit an existing record.
    3. On the Action type, search and select an existing record or create a new record.
    4. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Action type name Name of the action type.
      Execute client script before server script Option to select when the client script needs to be executed before the server script.
      Active Check the box to activate the action type.
      Server script Server scripts run on the server. Scripts are executed in th
      Server parameters Server parameters that are required to execute the function for example State, sys_id
      Client script Client scripts run on the client side.
      Client parameters Client parameters that are required to execute the function.
    5. Click Save or Update.

    Result

    Action type is configured. You can associate this Action type to Actions.
