Create accommodations

  • Accommodations support accommodation requests related to Employee Relation cases.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_hr_er.case_writer

    You can use HR service fulfillment types to define any workflow required to review, approve, and deliver accommodations like any HR case. For more information, see Configure an HR service.

    Note:
    You can create an accommodation request from an employee relations case. For more information, see Create an HR Service Delivery Employee Relations case using Agent Workspace or Create an HR Service Delivery Employee Relations case using the legacy UI.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Employee Relations > Accommodations.
    2. Select New.
    3. Fill in the form.

      Field Description
      Employee The name of the employee that requested the accommodation.
      Accommodation type The type of accommodation the employee requested.
      Note:
      If no accommodation types appear, ensure that the accommodation type is active.
      HR Case The HR case number associated with the accommodation.
      Status The status of the accommodation request. Valid values are:
      • Requested
      • Approved
      • Cancelled
      • Rejected
      Note:
      The default value is None, but it must be changed to create the accommodation request.
      Created The creation date and time for the accommodation request.
      Effective start date The date the accommodation request starts.
      Effective end date If known, the date the accommodation request ends.
      Description The details of the accommodation request.
    4. Select Save or Submit.
