Key Features
- Visibility into Chromebook devices within the ServiceNow CMDB.
- Streamlined guided setup to configure the integration efficiently.
- Supports periodic data pulls from Google Console to keep CMDB data current.
- Automatic deactivation of records in CMDB when devices are removed from Google Console.
- Integration Commons for CMDB dashboard provides centralized monitoring of integration status, processing results, and errors with filtering capabilities.
Supported Versions
The connector is tested with Google Console versions Xanadu, Washington DC, Vancouver, and Utah, and ServiceNow versions up to July 05, 2024.
Data Management and Mapping
Data from Google Console is imported using the Robust Transform Engine (RTE) and reconciled in the CMDB via the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE). Chromebook device data is mapped from Google Console’s staging tables to specific CMDB Configuration Item (CI) classes such as Computer, IP Address, and Network Adapter. Software data mapping varies depending on whether Software Asset Management (SAM) applications are installed.
The integration supports maintaining data accuracy by marking devices that have been deleted in Google Console as inactive in the CMDB.
Administration and Monitoring
The guided setup workflow assists administrators in configuring the integration on their ServiceNow instance. The CMDB Integrations Dashboard provides a consolidated view of all CMDB integrations, including Google Console, allowing administrators to monitor integration runs, filter results by integration or time range, and quickly identify issues.
Additional Resources
- IntegrationHub ETL app can be used to view and manage data mappings.

Use cases
You can use the Service Graph Connector for Google Console to get visibility into Google ChromeOS devices, enabling administrators to centrally manage enrollment, configuration, and monitoring these devices.
Guided setup
The guided setup for the Service Graph Connector for Google Console provides an organized sequence of tasks to configure the integration on your instance. To access the guided setup, see Configure Service Graph Connector for Google Console.
CMDB integrations dashboard
The Integration Commons for CMDB store app provides a dashboard with a central view of the status, processing results, and processing errors of all installed integrations. You can see metrics for all integration runs. You can filter the view to a specific CMDB integration, a specific time duration, or a specific integration run. For more details about monitoring Google Console integrations in the CMDB Integrations Dashboard, see Using the CMDB Integrations Dashboard.
Data mapping
Data from the Google Console data source is mapped and transformed into the ServiceNow CMDB Configuration Item (CI) class definitions using the Robust Transform Engine (RTE). Data is inserted into the ServiceNow CMDB using the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
When you complete setting up the connection, you can configure the integration to periodically pull data from the Google Console application.
