Summary of View service and service offering details
This guide explains how to view detailed information about services and service offerings within Digital Portfolio Management (DPM) in ServiceNow, specifically for the Yokohama release and later. It covers the lifecycle phases, status indicators, tabbed views, and important changes relevant to ServiceNow customers managing their digital portfolios.
Each service and service offering record in DPM is organized into lifecycle phases shown as tabs: Plan, Build, Run, and Info. Visibility of these tabs depends on organizational settings and license permissions.
Key Features
- Lifecycle Phase and Status Tracking: The Phase and Status of services and offerings are visible in both workspace and list views. Retired items display alerts and are clearly marked as End of Life.
- Tab-Based Information Access:
- Plan tab: Displays roadmap, backlog, summary cards (ideas, demands, improvement initiatives), and allows demand creation linked to services or offerings.
- Build tab: Shows project status via graphical summaries, change management data, and improvement initiatives with detailed task and KPI tracking.
- Run tab: Offers performance snapshots including KPIs like availability and incident metrics. Services show offering breakdowns; service offerings show application dependencies and commitment details such as SLAs.
- Info tab: Provides non-editable general information including descriptions, classification, portfolio associations, subscriber details, pricing (for offerings), service scope (for services), and contracts.
- Needs Attention Panel: Includes icons for quick access to team contacts, catalog items, knowledge articles, attachments, and alerts requiring user attention.
- Label Changes with Yokohama Release:
- Technical Service and Technical Service Offering are renamed to Technology Management Service and Technology Management Service Offering respectively.

Status of services and service offerings
When viewing the service and service offering details in DPM, the Phase and Status of each item is listed on the workspace view and on the list view.
Services and service offerings display information in DPM via the Plan, Build, Run, and Info tabs. If your organization opts to inactivate one or more of the tabs, then the inactivated tabs aren't visible to you. For example, if your organization doesn't work on planning activities and they inactivate the Plan tab, then the Plan tab isn't visible for you.
