List, Gantt, and Kanban view modes for CWM Boards

    • Seamlessly switch between List, Gantt, and Kanban views of Boards in Collaborative Work Management and manage your tasks in flexible ways based on your workflows.

    The following are the three types in which data for a CWM Board is displayed. You can customize how the data is presented and flexibly organize and manage work for your teams. For more information, see Personalize List, Gantt and Kanban display for CWM Boards.

    List view

    The List tab displays all tasks added to this Board in a grid format. Use this view to know the status of the tasks at a glance or to assign tasks to users on the go. The default number of tasks that can be displayed in the List view are 1,000.

    Gantt view

    The Gantt tab provides a grid and a calendar view side by side so that you can easily reschedule tasks based on changing priorities. The default number of tasks that can be displayed in the Gantt view are 1,000.

    Kanban view

    The Kanban tab provides a vertical and horizontal categorization of tasks based on the selected attributes, for example, Assigned to and Task type. You can change this vertical lane and horizontal swimlane to any other attribute.

    Some examples are:
    • View the state of all CWM tasks and their Assigned to details by selecting Vertical lane as Assigned to and Horizontal lane as State.
    • Review at a glance and change the priority of tasks for multiple assignment groups by selecting the vertical lane as Priority and Horizontal lane as Assignment group.
    If you have Connected work on the Board, then a few combinations for Kanban board are:
    • View all epics grouped by their state by selecting Vertical lane as State and Horizontal lane as Task type.

      You can then filter the Kanban board to show Epics.

    • View all stories on the Board grouped by the Sprint they're planned in by selecting Vertical lane as Sprint, Horizontal lane as Task type.

      You can then filter the Kanban board to show connected stories.

    The maximum number of vertical and horizontal swimlanes that can be displayed in the Kanban board are 50 each by default.
