Add products to an opportunity

  • Add products to your opportunity using the Catalog tab in Opportunity Management.

    About this task

    In the Catalog tab, you can search for and select simple or complex product offerings from catalogs and add them to your opportunity. Complex product offerings have options to customize the product by using the product configurator.

    Note:
    Check your entitlements to see if the product configurator is available.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Workspaces.
    2. In the CSM Configurable Workspace, select the List view icon ( ).
    3. Navigate to Opportunity > All and select the opportunity that you want to work with.
    4. Select the Catalog tab.
    5. In the product catalog hierarchy, select the product catalog that you want to use.
      The product catalog displays the available products in product offering cards.
    6. In the product offering card, select the product.
      • For a simple product that doesn't have any selectable options, select Add.
      • For a configurable product that has options that you can choose, select Customize to open the product configurator and select product options.

        As you configure the product, you can reprice, validate, and save your selections. For details on using the product configurator, see Using Sales Customer Relationship Management applications.

      The product offering is added to the opportunity as a line item.
