This feature enables ServiceNow customers to view comprehensive insights across their business, information, application, and technology portfolios. It provides key details such as audits, hardware models, software products with technology risks, and pending certification instances. Insights are refreshed automatically and can also be manually refreshed in the browser. Users can drill down into detailed records and navigate to full lists for deeper analysis.

Application Portfolio Insights
This section tracks information related to business applications, displaying cards with critical indicators including:
- Past due certification tasks: Number of overdue application certification tasks based on CMDB data management.
- Candidate business applications for retirement, migration, or investment: Identified based on application indicator scores to support lifecycle decisions.
- Business applications without cost data: Highlights applications lacking associated cost information.
These insights assist in managing and optimizing business applications to align with organizational goals.
Business and Information Portfolios
The business portfolio provides insights into business capabilities and applications to facilitate effective management aligned with organizational objectives.
The information portfolio tracks details of information objects connected to business applications and integrations within the enterprise.
Technology Portfolio and Lifecycle Risk Management
This portfolio focuses on monitoring technology lifecycle risks across applications, services, servers, software products, and hardware models. Key features include:
- Technology risk filters: View risks projected over 1, 3, 6, 12, or 18 months, with a default 1-month filter.
- Production instance toggle: Filter to display only production instances with lifecycle risks.
- Comprehensive risk list: Access and export a full list of technology lifecycle risks sorted by the earliest lifecycle dates.
The risk data is sourced from the TPM Discovered Technologies table, enabling tracking of support end dates, extended support end dates, and end-of-life dates for technology elements such as software, hardware, servers, and application services. This helps proactively manage technology obsolescence and associated risks.
You can view the insights for your business portfolio, information portfolio, application portfolio, and technology portfolio.

The last refreshed time shows when the results were refreshed in your browser. You can manually refresh the results by using the refresh icon (). You can navigate to the full list by selecting the View list button. You can see the details of a record by selecting it.
- Application Portfolio
- Track information for your business applications. The cards displayed in this section are:
- Past due certification tasks for business applications: Displays the number of application certification tasks that are past due. This card isn’t displayed if there are no certification tasks or there are no certification tasks that are past due. The data for this card is calculated from the CMDB Data Management Task (cmdb_data_management_task_list) table.
- Candidate business applications for retirement: Displays the number of business applications that are fit for retirement, based on their indicator scores.
- Candidate business applications for migration: Displays the number of business applications that are fit for migration, based on their indicator scores.
- Candidate business applications for investment: Displays the number of business applications that are fit for further investment, based on their indicator scores.
- Business applications w/o cost data: Displays the number of business applications that lack any cost data associated with them.

- Track the details of the information objects that are related to the business applications and integrations in your enterprise.

Use this filter to see the risks for the next 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months. By default, the 1-month filter is applied.
- Show only production instances
- Use this toggle button to see only productions instances that are having technology lifecycle risks. By default, this filter is off.
- View all technology lifecycle risks
- Select this link to see the list of all technology lifecycle risks sorted by earliest lifecycle date, which means the earliest date when a technology lifecycle risk is to happen. You can also export the Technology
lifecycle risks information to Excel, CSV, JSON, or PDF as required.
The data in the Technology lifecycle risks table is fetched from the TPM Discovered Technologies [sn_apm_tpm_discovered_technology] table.
