Configure Now Assist for SPM

  • If you have the admin role, you can configure the Now Assist for Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) application to enable generative AI skills for Feedback summarization or Conversational experiences for demand creation.

    About this task

    Use the Now Assist Admin console to configure Now Assist for SPM. This console contains everything that you need to install the plugins and configure the generative AI skills. For additional information, see Now Assist Admin console.

    The following table lists the features and skills that you can access from the Now Assist Admin console.

    Note:
    The Now LLM Service is the default provider for this Now Assist application's skills.
    The Now Assist for SPM application and Conversational experiences for demand creation system requirements are as follows:
    • Now Assist for Platform (v4.0.2)
    • For Feedback summarization: Strategic Planning (v4.1.2)
    • SPM Pro Plus license

    Procedure

    1. If necessary, activate the Now Assist for Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) plugin (sn_spm_gen_ai).
    2. Navigate to All > Now Assist Admin > Features to access the Features tab of the Now Assist Admin console.
      If you’re already in the Now Assist Admin console, you can select the Now Assist Features tab on the screen.
    3. Activate and configure the skills for SPM.
      • For Feedback summarization:
        1. Select the Technology category.
        2. From the Select product list, select SPM.
        3. On the Feedback skill card, select View details.
        4. Review the details mentioned in step 4 by selecting the Feedback summarization skill.
      • For Conversational experiences for demand creation:
        1. Select the Platform category.
        2. On the Conversational experience skill card, select View details.
        3. Review the details mentioned in step 4 by selecting the Now Assist Multi-Turn Catalog Ordering skill.
        4. Configure Virtual Agent. For more information, see Configuring Now Assist in Virtual Agent.
    4. Review the following parameters for the selected skill:
      1. Choose inputs: Review the data source such as tables and fields for prompts. The inputs are selected by default and can't be modified. For information about the inputs for each skill, see Skill inputs for Now Assist for SPM.

        Select Save and continue.

      2. Select display: Review where the skill appears. The In-product Display option is selected by default.
        Note:
        When the In-product option is selected, the skills are displayed on forms and workspaces.

        Select Save and continue.

      3. Review and activate: Review the summary of your choices.
    5. Select Activate to complete the configuration and activate the skill.

    Result

    The skill is configured and activated.
