Recalculate resource costs for resource assignments

    • As a resource manager, you can recalculate resource costs for resource assignments created in Project Workspace or migrated resource plans based on the changes made to rate model and rate lines associated with resource assignments.

    Before you begin

    Role required: resource_manager

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Operational Resource Assignments.
    2. Remove the Plan type = Operational work from the filter condition.
    3. Filter the Resource column to locate and open the resource assignment to recalculate resource costs.
    4. Select the Recalculate Resource Costs related link.
    5. On the Recalculate Resource Costs confirmation window, click OK.
      The resource costs are recalculated in the background.
    6. In the Resource Allocations related list, select the Resource plan.
    7. The latest resource costs are updated in the Confirmed / Allocated cost field.

    Result

    The latest resource costs are updated in the Resource plan.
