Key Features
- High-Level Planning Diagnostics: Validate configurations such as rank setup, form section views, related list views, and list views for high-level planning entities. These scans identify missing configurations and provide guidance or fix scripts to resolve issues.
- Global Rank Validation: Detects planning entities and items lacking a global rank. You can run automated fix scripts to populate missing global ranks to ensure proper prioritization order.
- Portfolio Planning Diagnostics: Validates common configuration errors for planning items, goals, and portfolio plans. Includes checks for view rules (form, list, related list, workspace views), goal assigned entity configuration, and portfolio plan field validity.
- Goal Relationship Validation: Detects many-to-many (m2m) goal relationships on assigned entities and supports migration of existing goal relationship data via a scheduled job.
- Fix Scripts: For several diagnostics, automated fix scripts are available to quickly resolve configuration discrepancies such as missing global ranks or invalid portfolio plan fields.
What This Enables You to Do
- Ensure all planning entities and items are correctly configured with necessary views and ranking to support seamless portfolio planning.
- Identify and remediate configuration gaps before they impact planning managers’ ability to prioritize and roadmap work.
- Maintain data integrity within portfolio plans and related goal configurations.
- Use automated fix scripts to efficiently resolve common errors without manual intervention.
Practical Impact
By running Strategic Planning diagnostics, you can proactively detect and fix configuration issues that would otherwise hinder portfolio plan accuracy and prioritization. This leads to smoother strategic planning processes, higher confidence in your planning data, and better alignment across portfolio initiatives.
