The Goal form in ServiceNow's Yokohama release enables you to create and manage goals aligned with your organizational strategic priorities. It is used within Operational Sustainability Workspace and Strategic Planning, providing a structured way to define, track, and collaborate on goals that support your portfolio plans and strategic initiatives.

Key Features
- Goal Details: Define the goal’s Name, State (e.g., Draft, In progress, Approved), and Category (such as Total Cost, Cloud Applications, Compliance, etc.).
- Status and Progress: Track the Status (Red, Yellow, Green, or None) and Progress percentage, which is automatically calculated if sub-goals or targets exist.
- Description: Provide a brief description of the goal, with enhancement options via Now Assist for SPM to refine descriptions.
- Parent Information: Link goals to a Strategic priority and a Parent goal, and specify the Impact on parent goal with weighted values indicating relative importance (available when enabled by system property).
- Owners & Contributors: Assign the goal to an Entity type (e.g., Business Unit, Department) and a specific Entity (e.g., HR, IT). Identify the Owner and Contributors responsible for goal achievement. These assignments are required for goals to appear in portfolio plans.
- Duration: Set the Start date and End date of the goal, defaulting to the current quarter or inherited from parent goals for sub-goals.
- Additional Fields: Include Comments for collaboration, designate a responsible Team (assignment group), and specify Classification (Environmental, Social, Governance) relevant for Operational Sustainability Workspace users.

| Name | Name of the goal. |
| State | State of the goal. The state can be Draft, In progress, Approved, Complete, Pending, Achieved, or Not Achieved. |
| Category | Category of the goal. The available options are:

| Status | Status of the goal. Status can be Red, Yellow, Green, or None. |
| Progress | Percentage complete for the goal. The progress value is calculated automatically if the goal has sub-goals or/and targets. For more information on how the progress value is calculated, see Progress value calculation. |
| Description | Brief description of the goal. You can refine goal description using the Refine records skill, if the Now Assist for SPM application is installed. |

IT. Note: Populating the Assigned entity type and Assigned entity fields are required to display the goals in the portfolio plan. |
| Owner | Owner of the goal. By default, the name of the user creating the goal is populated. |
| Contributors | Users who contribute to the achievement of the goal. |
