Set up a configurable product in legacy Salesforce environment

    • Set up external product configuration in Salesforce to connect with ServiceNow blueprints when using legacy managed package installations.

    Before you begin

    Your Salesforce Managed Package must be installed before June 2022.

    About this task

    A configurable product associates a blueprint with the configuration experience for the product. Use this procedure for environments with Salesforce Managed Packages installed before June 2022.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to the Salesforce Configurable Products tab.
    2. Enable external configuration by selecting Enable External Configuration.
    3. Locate the Product2 record to connect to a CPQ configuration experience.
    4. Select the Externally Configurable check box for the product.
    5. Save the configuration by selecting Save.
    6. Access the blueprint setup by selecting the View Setup link for the configured product.
    7. Add a blueprint by selecting Add Blueprint.
    8. Select the desired blueprint from the available options.
    9. Complete the setup by selecting Save.
