Add buying group member to a buying group to represent decision participants, assign roles within the decision process, track active participation, enable opportunity synchronization, and support accurate assessment of
decision structure.
Before you begin
Role required: bg_admin; bg_writer
Procedure

Navigate to .

Select the Buying Group record where you want to add members.

Go to Buying Group Members tab.

Select New to create a new Buying Group Member.

On the form, fill in the fields:

| Role |
Defines the role or responsibility of the contact within the Buying Group, such as Business user, Decision maker, Economic buyer, Evaluator, Executive sponsor, or Influencer. The role indicates how
the individual participates in the purchase decision. |
| Contact |
References the qualified customer contact added as a member of the Buying Group. |
| Active |
Indicates whether the member is currently participating in the buying decision. Inactive members remain associated for historical context but are not considered part of the active decision
structure. |

The new buying group member is added.
