Create a product offering recommendation

    • Create product offering recommendations that can be used by your sales agents to upsell or cross-sell additional products in quotes.

    Before you begin

    Review the product offerings that your sales agents can add to quotes, then determine the complementary and supplementary products that can be recommended to upsell or cross-sell additional products for those products. The source product offerings and also the recommended product offerings must be published in the product catalog.

    Procedure

    1. In the CSM Configurable Workspace, select the List view.
    2. Navigate to Recommendations > Product Offering Recommendations and select New.
      Fill in the form.

      Field Description
      Source product offering Product for which a recommended product offering is to be defined. The source product can be a simple or complex product. Select from the list of published product offerings.
      Recommended product offering Product recommended for the source product offering. Select from the list of published product offerings.
      Type Option that indicates the type of recommendation:
      • Upsell: Recommendation for upgrading or enhancing the source product, for example a better or bigger version of a product.
      • Cross sell: Recommendation for buying a product that is related to but different from the source product.
      Active Option that indicates the recommendation is active and displayed to agents when they're adding or updating quotes and quote line items.

      To deactivate the product offering recommendation, deselect this option.
      Order Number that determines the sequence in which the recommendation is displayed in the contextual side panel of theCSM Configurable Workspace.
      Description Brief description of the offering recommendation.
    3. Select Save.
      The product recommendation card for the product is displayed to your agents when they're updating a quote that has the source product offering for this recommendation.
