Set up the Main node configuration

  • Set up the Main node configuration according to your business requirement. Based on the Main node configuration settings, data is brought into Operational Resilience reporting and dashboards.

    About this task

    Note:
    After setting up the Main node configurations, ensure that the entities are generated in Operational Resilience. Only when the entities are generated in Operational Resilience and the relationships are created in Main node configurations, CMDB data can be brought into Operational Resilience for reporting.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Data Relationships Framework > Main node configurations.
    2. Set up the Main node configuration and the node relationships.

      The following example shows the Main node configurations that are provided with the base system.

      The following example shows the Main node configuration for a business service that fetches related objects.

      A registered relationship between the source table and the target table is required before creating a node relationship configuration. The following example shows that a node relationship configuration is created between the service offering and business process, but no relationship registry is configured between them yet.

    3. To create a relationship registry between the objects such as the service offering and business process, navigate to 360° View Configurations > Relationship Registries.
      For information on setting up the relationship registries, see Set up the relationship registry.
    4. Update the node relationship configuration as required.
    5. Select Submit.
    6. Repeat this process for all the relationships in the 360° Relationship Visualization interface.
