  • Make a copy of an existing assessment template in the Smart Assessment Engine, including all questions, sections, instructions and existing configurations, to save time and eliminate the manual effort of creating the template from scratch. You can then customize the copied template to meet new requirements or scenarios.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_smart_asmt.template_manager and sn_smart_asmt.assessment_admin

    About this task

You can copy an assessment template that is in draft or published state. The user who copies the template is marked as the creator and duplication time is added as the creation time.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Assessment Workspace to access the assessment workspace landing page.
    2. Open the existing assessment template that you want to copy.
      The template details are displayed.
    3. Select the copy-icon. icon.
The Copy assessment template pop-up appears.
    4. Provide the following details in the Copy assessment template pop-up.
Table 1. Copy assessment template details
      Field Description
Template name Unique meaningful name for the template.
      Note:
In the Template name field, you can click on T+ to enable a separate field for the Assessment name. You can then add a unique, meaningful name for your assessment.
Description Provide a description for the template.
      Assessment template categories
Provide a category that the copied assessment template should be a part of. For example, Risk, Performance, Security, Personal data, and so on.
      Note:
Template categories enforce data segregation for templates, controlling which users can view a specific template. Each assessment template is associated with one or more template categories. To view a template in a category, you must have a category role that is associated with the category.
Assessment targets Table records that are selected to be assessed, otherwise known as the assessment scope. Multiple tables can be added as assessment targets, which means the scope will include records from all of these tables. The tables displayed are based on your access permissions.
    5. Select Copy.
The copying process might take some time. While the copy is in progress, both the source and copy template are locked for editing.

    Result

The system generates a copied template in draft state. When you open the template, you see the all questions, sections, and instructions and all existing configuration as the original template. You can update it as required.
