Set controls in Crisis map to customize the alerts

    • Set controls in the Crisis map interface in BCM UIB Workspace. You can then customize the alerts for assets, locations, and so on.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_bcm.admin or sn_bcm.program_manager

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Business Continuity Workspace.
    2. In the List view, select Crisis map.

      The alerts section is on the left of the workspace and the map view is on the right.

    3. Select the Search assets and locations search field in the map view on the right and enter the location or datacenter that is impacted by an alert.
      When you search for a location, a mixed list of your company results with the display value of the records along with their icons, and the Google map pin icons appears.

      If you are not sure of both the employee locations or datacenters, then use the Layers control.

    4. To change the zoom level of the map and view specific areas, use the zoom-in and zoom-out control buttons.
    5. To select and display the assets on the map, select the Layers icon.

      The assets such as Locations, Web Servers, Datacenters, or Vendors are displayed on the map as shown in the following example.

    6. To clear the map of all the search results, select the Reset icon.
