Add the related plan and recovery team

  • Add your business continuity related plans and recovery teams to your business continuity plan. You can then view the details in BCM UIB Workspace.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_bcm.admin, sn_bcm.program_manager, sn_bcm.planner, sn_bcp.plan_manager

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Business Continuity Workspace.
    2. In the List view, navigate to Planning and select the link to the plan record in the Name column.
    3. Select the Related plans tab and select Add.
      You can add a business continuity related plan as shown in the following example.Add related plans.

      A new column, "Is Associated to Task", has been added to the Related plans table. This field is set to True if the related plan is associated with a recovery task, and False otherwise. The example shows that Test Plan C is associated with Task 1 of Plan A, therefore the "Is Associated to Task" column is set to True.

      Note:
      Related plans that are associated to a task are created as child plans in events. If the related plans are not associated with any task, they are created as related plans but not as child plans in events.

      Associating related plans with recovery tasks helps you to identify when and where the plans are triggered in the flow, aiding in tracking and managing the plans during the recovery process.

    4. Select the Recovery teams tab and select New.

      You can add a recovery team to the plan as shown in the following examples.

    5. Select Save.
      The related plan and recovery team are added to the business continuity plan.
