Review daily log export by source report

    • Analyze the size of each data log source by reviewing the daily log export by source report. The report shows the number of log events generated by each log tables per day.

    Before you begin

    Role required: admin or sn_logstoanalytics.admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Log Export Service > Daily Log Export by Source.
    2. Review the daily log counts produced in the following tables per day.
      • syslog
      • syslog_transaction
      • sys_audit
      • sys_outbound_http_log

      Depending on the size of the data sources, you can decide if you want to include it in the LES export report.

      Note:
      You can select a color-coded bar in the graph to be redirected to the Log Export Daily Aggregation report where you can modify the filters to analyze the data further. You can reduce the number of log events to be exported by the Log Export Service by configuring log source filters. The Application Node Log files are not included in this report.
