    When you add specification categories, you can associate product, service, and resource specifications with specific model categories for reporting purposes and determining the associated workflow. Specification categories work with defined decision tables that help resolve complex decisions that depend on multiple factors.
    • The associated model category determines how the ServiceNow AI Platform creates an asset from a configuration item (CI), and to what asset class it belongs. The category dictates how products, services, and resources are modeled within the legacy product catalog
    • Decision tables that are associated with the specification category determine how fulfillment workflows are generated for an ordered item.

    Prozedur

    1. In the CSM Configurable Workspace, select the List view.
    2. Select New.
    3. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Name Name of the specification category.
      Model Category Model category to which the specification category belongs. Select a model category from the drop-down list.
    4. Select Save.
