Request generative AI to create a visualization of data that you want to see. If you are on a dashboard that you can edit, you can add the visualization to that dashboard.
Antes de Iniciar
Role required: now_assist_panel_user and either now_assist_analytics_generation or now.assist.creator.analytics. You need access to the data that you want to see. If you want to add the visualization to a dashboard, you need
editing rights to that dashboard.
Importante:
You need the correct entitlements to this skill and to Query Generation.
Procedimento
If you want to add a visualization to a dashboard that you can edit, navigate to All > Platform Analytics > Library > Dashboards and open the dashboard from the library.
Open the Now Assist panel.
Select Create a data visualization.
Ask for data to see.
For example, ask "Can I see open incidents by priority?" You then would get a visualization of the count of incidents divided across priorities where active=true. You can specify the chart type, too, but not all charts
are supported. For more information about what kind of questions you can ask, see Guidelines and example questions and Limitations to generating data visualizations.
Nota:
Analytics Generation only returns visualizations of data in the Task [task] table hierarchy, while respecting user domains and access control lists.
Nota:
Analytics Generation only returns visualizations of data in tables for which semantic generation is enabled. If you have a question, ask your admin to check the Semantic Table
Configurations [sn_query_gen_table_config_list] under Query Generation > Administration > Semantic Table Config.
To pop out a larger view of the visualization that shows the table name and conditions, select View details.
To add the visualization to a dashboard, select Add to dashboard.
A pane opens where you can choose from any of the dashboards that are available to you to edit. You can also create a new dashboard to contain the visualization. Note that technical dashboards are not supported.
To add the visualization to a collaborative workspace in AI Data Explorer, select Add to exploration.
You have an optional, iterative process to change the visualization that you see.
Select Yes to the question Would you like to modify the generated visualization?
In answer to the prompt What would you like to do next, request one of the following:
A different visualization in the same group of visualizations. For example, you could request a change from a horizontal bar to a vertical bar, or from a line visualization (time series) to a column
visualization (time series). However, you could not change from a horizontal bar to a line visualization, because a horizontal bar is in the bar visualization group and a line visualization is in the time
series group.
A different group by, if the visualization group supports group by.
A different trend by, if you have a time series visualization.
A different filter query.
If your modification would require a different visualization group, you are notified. You may get a suggestion for a visualization type in the same group, or an offer to start over.
Under What would you like to do next, you see several suggestions:

Change visualization type or condition
Change a configuration field like Group by, or the filter conditions, or the visualization type.
Change group by to Priority.
Use another table as the data source
Change the data that you want to visualize, according to table name. You may be prompted for the aggregation type, such as Count.
Change table to Problem.

You get a generated data visualization. This visualization is inside the Now Assist panel, if it will fit. You have the option to pop it out in that case. If the visualization would not fit, it is popped out by default.Figura 1. Example of a generated data visualization
