Using a request definition to manage the order task attributes
Learn how you can use a request definition while creating an order task to manage the order task attributes, such as the specifications and characteristics of an order.
Overview of order tasks and flows
By using Workflow Studio, you can configure an order task, which is an extension of the ServiceNow AI Platform Task entity, while you create a flow. Next, you can use the Create Order Task action to contain the flow actions that define the behavior of your order tasks. To learn more about how to create a flow and configure an order task, see Create a flow.
Using a request definition to categorize your order tasks
When you create an order task, most of the order information is captured by the common attributes in the order task. If your order fulfillment agent has to provide specification characteristics options from the customer order, the request definition helps you to associate the required specification characteristics with the order task.
To capture this order information, you must configure the characteristic options under the request definition fields in your order task form. For more information on request definitions, see Create a request definition.
