  • Manage skill assignment efficiently by assigning skills to users and analyze the skill coverage of your teams.

    Note:
The Manage skills page uses the Next Experience user interface. For more information on Next Experience, see Next Experience UI.
You can analyze your teams' skills based on a department. For example, if you select Finance as the department, the page displays all skills that contain Finance skill. When you select a department, the page displays all users from that department. You can also display all users and their skills based on the groups you manage.

If you want to add your own custom group types, your administrator can configure Skills Management extension points to add them.

The skill matrix displays the skill coverage and skill proficiency of all users within a team. If a skill hasn’t been added to the user, the skill matrix displays an Add button. You can select this button, add the skill, and associate a skill proficiency for the user. If a skill doesn’t have the proficiency defined, it displays the skill as acquired. For information on adding skills, see Assign skill proficiency levels for skills.

For each team, the skill coverage bar displays the number of users that have that skill and the number of users in each proficiency. If the skill proficiency isn’t defined, it displays the number of users with or without the skill.

You can select the filter icon and narrow down the display of the skill matrix using the Users, Skills, and Location filters.
