Journey designer release notes
The ServiceNow® Journey designer application enables managers and employees to create and track journeys. Journeys include transition plans, such as promotions, offboarding, onboarding, and role changes for employees. Journey designer was enhanced and updated in the Zurich release.
Journey designer highlights for the Zurich release
- Usability enhancements:
- Use the option to cancel Journey Accelerator journeys from the portal.
- See higher performance in sync between the Opened for and Journey Owner fields.
- Configure the Journey overview page using the widgets option to hide or show Task Templates and Create a Journey for Your Team widgets.
- The pre-hire onboarding experience enables a seamless journey for an applicant transitioning from an onboarding pre-hire to a full-time employee.

- Offboarding knowledge transfer plan generation agentic workflow
- The offboarding knowledge transfer plan generation agentic workflow captures and organizes critical knowledge when employees leave. AI agents interact with managers to collect requirements, discover documents from the specified time period, categorize content into meaningful work areas, and facilitate employee review before sharing with successors.
- Generate onboarding ramp-up agentic workflow
- Use the Generate onboarding ramp-up plan agentic workflow to establish an efficient process for generating onboarding plans that are personalized for each new employee joining your organization.

- As an admin, you can now configure the journey overview page and hide the Task Templates and Create a Journey for Your Team widgets.
UI changes
- Coral theme
- Coral is now the default theme for new portal, web, and mobile experiences with Next Experience or Core UI enabled. This theme provides a fresh look and feel, featuring brand-neutral illustrations to enhance your user experience. A dark theme option is available for web and mobile experiences.
- Cancel Journey Accelerator Journeys
- Journey owners having access to Journey Accelerator only journeys now have a Cancel option instead of the Delete option in the Employee Center portal.

Install Journey designer by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.
