Goal Framework release notes
The ServiceNow® Goal Framework application enables your business to create goals, set targets for them, and evaluate the progress of the goals and targets to accomplish your organizational plans and drive business outcomes. Goal Framework was enhanced and updated in the Zurich release.
Goal Framework highlights for the Zurich release
- Categorize your strategic priorities and goals as Artificial Intelligence to track and monitor their progress from the AI Control Tower workspace.
- View only active goals in reference fields when creating a goal relationship or defining a parent goal.

New in the Zurich release
- Goal Framework and AI Control Tower
- Categorize your strategic priorities and goals as Artificial Intelligence to track and monitor strategy progress from the AI Control Tower workspace.
Use the Type field for strategic priorities and the Category field for goals to classify them as Artificial Intelligence and monitor their progress in the AI Control Tower workspace.
- Role enhancements
- With the sn_gf.goal_admin role, you can edit any goal and target as needed, even when you aren’t the owner or contributor of a goal or target.
UI changes
- Coral theme
- Coral is now the default theme for new portal, web, and mobile experiences with Next Experience or Core UI enabled. This theme provides a fresh look and feel, featuring brand-neutral illustrations to enhance your user experience. A dark theme option is available for web and mobile experiences.
Changed in this release
- Active goals
- By default, only active goals—those goals with the Active field set to true—are displayed in the Goal and Parent goal reference fields across all applicable tables.
Activation information
Install Goal Framework by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.
