# View or create an interaction for a supplier

# View or create an interaction for a supplier {#ariaid-title1}

Typically, an interaction record is automatically created when you accept a chat through the chat queue in the Source-to-Pay Workspace. However, you can also manually created an interaction from the list page of the Source-to-Pay Workspace. You can link an interaction record to an existing supplier case or can assign a task, which needs a supplier manager involvement for investigation.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_slm.owner

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllSupplier Lifecycle OperationsSource-to-Pay Workspace.
2. Select the list icon (![List icon.]()) to open the List page.
3. Navigate to All workInteractions
4. Select New.
5. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Number | System-generated, unique interaction number. |
   | Type | Type of channel used for communication. * Chat * Messaging * Phone * Video {#create-new-interaction__ul_aww_tpq_byb} |
   | Assigned to | The agent to whom the interaction record is assigned. |
   | Supplier | Name of the supplier company the supplier contact belongs to. |
   | Supplier contact | Name of the supplier contact who initiated the interaction. |
   | Short description | Brief description of the interaction. |
   | Work notes | Additional information or comments added to the interaction. |

6. Select Save.
