Request the contextual generative AI capabilities to summarize procurement-related records in the ServiceNow Otto for Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO) application by using the conversational interface in the Now Assist panel.

## Before you begin

Make sure that Next Experience is enabled in the instance. For more information, see [Next Experience UI](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=next-experience-landing-page&version=yokohama&pubname=yokohama-platform-user-interface&ft:locale=en-US).

Make sure that [AI search](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=configuring-ais&version=yokohama&pubname=yokohama-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US) and Now Assist panel are enabled in the instance.

Role required: sn_spend_gen_ai.now_assist_fulfiller

## About this task

You can use the Now Assist panel in Source-to-Pay Workspace to summarize procurement-related records.

## Procedure

1. Log in to an instance where the ServiceNow Otto for SPO application is installed.
2. Navigate to WorkspacesSource-to-Pay Workspace.
3. Request the generative AI capabilities in SPO for procurement-related records for the following skills by selecting the Now Assist icon ![Now assist icon.]():  
   * Sourcing request summarization for fulfillers
   * Purchase requisition summarization for fulfillers
   * Procurement case summarization for fulfillers
   * Negotiation summarization for fulfillers
   * Sourcing event summarization for fulfillers

4. After you request the generative AI capabilities, you can summarize procurement-related records.
