Key Features
- Identify Similar Demand Records: Now Assist’s new skill detects similar existing demand records by analyzing the Name, Description, and Business Case fields, helping to avoid duplication when creating or editing demands.
- Status Report Migration: Import legacy status reports into a new reporting tool to maintain consistent and organized project reporting.
- Project Confidentiality Settings: Protect sensitive projects and sub-projects by applying confidentiality settings that restrict access to authorized users only.
- Checklist for Project Tasks: Create checklists to track activities within project tasks, improving task completion visibility.
- Resource Plan Notes Migration: Migrate notes from resource plans to resource assignments for clearer insights in Resource Management Workspace.
- Resource Allocation and Heatmap Enhancements: Use the allocation heatmap modal to monitor resource status, capacity, and utilization. Inline editing enables quick updates of multiple child resource assignment cells. Additional fields such as Name, Ready for Review, and Notes were added. Resource assignments can be extended via the context menu.
- Demand Management UI Updates: A new “Identify similar demands” button and a related list displaying similar demand records have been added to the demand form for easier identification of duplicate demands.
Activation and Related Applications
PPM is available through activation of the PPM Standard plugin (com.snc.financialplanningpmo). Strategic Spend Tracking for PPM can be installed via the ServiceNow Store. The Project Workspace application integrates with PPM to provide a Next Experience Workspace for enhanced project management capabilities.
The ServiceNow® Project Portfolio Management application enables you to create and manage a wide range of planning items ranging from a few small tasks to large portfolios of projects. Project Portfolio Management was enhanced and updated in the Yokohama release.
