Alerts, incidents, and change requests are reliability tasks. From creation to resolution, SRM helps you manage your alerts throughout the response life cycle.
The Reliability Tasks pane (![Reliability tasks icon]()) has several tabs:

* Incidents are created manually or based on Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs). For more information on incidents, see [Working with Incidents in SRM](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/a25DS5Ft7qGSdR1iBV6W4g "Plan ahead of service disruptions and have SRM send notifications and create status when incidents occur. Distractions are minimized and teams stay focused on remediation."). For more information on SLO, SLI, and error budget actions, see [Create SLOs, SLIs, and error budget policies](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/PAyr1az_9UN3VPV1pJtwxA "Define service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and error budget policies to monitor service health. These tools help you and your teams track performance and take action when needed.").
* Changes can be created within SRM. See [Manually create an SRM change task](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/OzLM3FvGv16EZsBVw56I_g "Create a change task to implement a controlled process for modifying approved and supported actions for SRM.").

The Express List pane (![Express list icon]()) provides a focused view of alerts to help you monitor, evaluate, and resolve health issues efficiently. You can create alerts from SRM service pages or by using integrations. For more information on alerts, see [Express List in the Service Operations Workspace for ITOM](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/sDSwm0vCIc_c3lzEyJTX~A "The ServiceNow Event Management Express List feature helps you identify health issues across the datacenter on the Service Operations Workspace. It provides a list of quick information on alerts so you can more efficiently monitor systems and services, resolve alerts, evaluate the alert impact, track issues, and report incidents.") and [Manually create an SRM alert](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/mlfabLn3e_3Bs_mHWQvocA "Create an alert for testing purposes or if you think an issue poses a risk.").

Responders and above are notified for updates to reliability tasks based on their notification preferences.
