# Set on-call team preferences in SRM

Set on-call preferences for team members to increase the efficiency of your business operations.

## Before you begin

Role required: srm_manager or srm_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesService Operations Workspace.  
   You're taken to your SRM Home page.  
   Note:  
   If you use other Service Operations Workspace (SOW) applications, you may see the SOW Home page instead of the SRM Home page. The SOW Home page includes SRM alerts and incidents in its metrics.
2. From the primary navigation, select the Teams icon (![Teams.]()). {#sr-set-on-call-prefs__select-my-teams}
3. Select the team card to open.
4. Select the On-call team preferences button.
5. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   | On-call shift managers | Team managers for the on-call shift. |
   | PTO requests | Requests for Paid Time Off (PTO) made by team members. Choices are: * System default (Not allowed) * With approval * Without approval * Not allowed {#sr-set-on-call-prefs__ul_kbd_sk2_mbc} |
   | First day of the week | First day of your work week. Note: This option is available for Washington DC and later releases only. |
   | Allow shift schedule overlap | Option to allow schedules to overlap |
   | Escalation rule on shift overlap | Choices are: * System default (Escalate to all shifts) * Escalate to outgoing shift * Escalate to incoming shift * Escalate to all shifts {#sr-set-on-call-prefs__ul_r5x_1l2_mbc} |

6. Select Save.
