# Create a policy set

Create a policy set in Cloud Configuration Governance to group policies that enforce
a given security or organization standard. When the scan configuration runs the policy set,
it identifies the cloud resources that don't adhere to the set standards. A policy set can
contain one or more policies.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_itom_ccg.governor

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Cloud Configuration GovernancePolicy Sets.
2. Select New.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |:-|:-|
   | Name | Name of the policy set. |
   | Provider type | Cloud that hosts the resources to be scanned through the policies attached to the policy set. |
   | Description | Brief description of the policy set. |
   | Policies | Policies that you want to group to enforce a given security or organizational standard. The policy set can contain more than one policy. |

4. Select Submit.
