Show full answer Show less

## Prerequisites

* ServiceNow AI Platform: Australia, Zurich, or Yokohama release (starting Patch 6)
* Software Asset Management Professional plugin (com.snc.samp)
* Agent Client Collector for Visibility - Content (ACC-VC) version 1.8.0 or later
* ITOM URL Discovery version 1.1.0 or later
* Discovery Admin Workspace version 1.14.0 or later
* Enable data collection by setting `snaccviscontent.enablefullmonitoring` to True
* User roles required: `discoveryadmin` or `admin`

## Key features

The dashboard provides visualizations based on data from the `Application Domain [snaccviscontentapplicationdomain]` table, refreshed on demand. Its key visual reports include:

* **All visited URLs**: Total count of URLs visited on managed devices since a selected date (visible when Broad discovery is enabled)
* **Top 5 URLs with the most visits**: Bar chart showing the five most frequently visited URLs
* **Targeted URLs visited by category**: Donut chart displaying URL visits grouped by category

Data is updated via daily aggregation jobs and may not reflect same-day activity until processing completes.

## URL lists and management

* **Targeted URLs visited**: Shows URLs configured for monitoring; selecting a URL opens detailed domain metrics (page views, accessed time, distinct users)
* **Other URLs visited**: Lists non-targeted URLs accessed when broad discovery is enabled, allowing users to add these URLs to the targeted list by specifying attributes such as Internal/External status, Category, Product, Publisher, and Application Service

Adding URLs to targeted discovery requires appropriate role permissions, including `samuser` for mapping Software Asset Management products.

## Practical implications for ServiceNow customers

This dashboard allows you to monitor and analyze web domain usage across your managed devices, supporting improved visibility into software usage and compliance. By targeting specific URLs for monitoring, you can correlate domain access with software products and services, enabling data-driven decisions for software asset management and operational insights. The ability to refresh visualizations and filter data ensures you can tailor the analysis to your organization's needs.
The Discovery Admin Workspace URL Discovery insights dashboard displays captured data and analytics for web domains accessed on managed Windows and macOS devices.
