Create new certificate requests manually through Service Catalog for a personalized and efficient procurement of certificates, providing greater flexibility and control.

## Before you begin

Ensure that the Certificate Management catalog is enabled.

Role required: pki_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllService CatalogCertificate Management.
2. Select Request New Certificate.
3. Provide the necessary information for the following mandatory fields.  
   * Certificate Signing Request
   * Certificate Authority
   * Certificate Type
   * Validity period
   * Approver

4. Enter or select additional details on the form as needed.
5. Select Submit.

## Result

The Certificate task is generated and submitted for approval. The approval field is view-only for pki_user and editable for pki_admin.
