Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns uses the Alibaba - Storage Volume (LP) pattern to discover storage volumes during horizontal discovery. Discovering some of these resources may require updating to the latest version of the Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns application from the ServiceNow Store.

## Pattern-based discovery and mapping requirements {#alibaba-storage-volume__section_ayq_fwl_dhc}

## Data collected by Discovery during horizontal discovery {#alibaba-storage-volume__section_wyy_2wl_dhc}

Discovery populates the data in the CMDB when running the Alibaba - Storage Volume (LP) pattern.

| Object ID \[object_id\] | ID of the disk. |
| State \[state\] | Status of the disk. Default value is All. For example: In_use, Available, or Attaching. |
| Size bytes \[size_bytes\] | Disk size in bytes. |
| Storage type \[storage_type\] | Type of the disk. Possible values are system or data. |
| Install Status \[install_status\] | Install status of the disk. Default value is Installed. |
| Operational status \[operational_status\] | Operational status of the disk. Default value is Operational. |
