# MID Server configuration and exception handling

# MID Server configuration and exception handling {#ariaid-title1}

You can configure a MID Server with additional configuration parameters or create a new Mid Server property to alter any default behavior.
A system property 'mid.property.probe.api.timeout.minutes' enables you to decide the amount of time mid-server should wait before throwing a timeout error while provisioning.

This Cloud Provisioning and Governance MID Server property with name and value parameters handles the timeout exception.

See [MID Server properties](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=r_MIDServerProperties&version=yokohama&pubname=yokohama-servicenow-platform&ft:locale=en-US) for more information on creating a MID Server property.
