# Add members to the group

Ensure accurate assignment of members to their respective groups to streamline account requests, approvals, provisioning, and certification. Grant necessary permissions through proper group assignment to prevent unauthorized
access and maintain security.

## Before you begin

Role required: ServiceNow AI Platform admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllUsers and GroupsGroups.
2. Search for <kbd class="ph userinput">*ITOM</kbd> in the search field.
3. Assign a member to each ITOM group by selecting an entry.

4. Under the Roles section, select Edit.
5. Search the user and move to the group members list.
6. Select Save.
