# Run host data collection for an agent

# Run host data collection for an agent {#ariaid-title1}

Collect data on the host being monitored by an agent. Manually collecting host data ensures that the host's files are up to date.

## Before you begin

Role required: agent_client_collector_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllAgent Client CollectorAgents.
2. Underneath the check box icon ![](), hover next to an agent and select the check box that appears.  
   Repeat this step for all agents for which you want to collect data.
3. Select the arrow next to the Actions on selected rows... drop-down and select Collect host data.

## Result

Data is collected for the specified agents. The collection status is indicated in the page's Host data collection column.
