Add penalties and values to a work order task to define the importance of the task.

## Before you begin

Role required: wm_dispatcher

An admin must [Configure the policy to enable dispatchers to prioritize work order tasks](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/79XRJrnPdxnsYSRxj6X7Pg "Incorporate optimization features into the policy to allow dispatchers to prioritize work orders, establishing the importance of each task.").

## About this task

Optimization penalties and values are only used for Schedule Optimization.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllField ServiceWork OrderAll Work Order Tasks.
2. Select the work order task that you want to prioritize.
3. Select the Scheduling tab.
4. On the form, fill in the fields.

5. Select Update.
