Domain separation in Now Assist for Customer Service Management (CSM)
Domain separation allows users to separate data, processes, and administrative tasks into logical groupings known as domains. Domain separation enables users to independently manage skill configurations, data visibility, and other settings within each domain.
Setting up domain separation for Now Assist for CSM involves requesting activation of a plugin, setting options, and assigning users and records to domains.
Domain separation is possible at the skill level and at the individual configuration level. When using the guided setup in the Now Assist Admin console, each configuration option has its own record that you can separate by domain. To create a record in a different domain, you must set up the skill in the scope of your preferred domain.
Global domain is the default domain, and all new domains are created under it. New domains inherit the settings from the global domain if users don’t override the settings in the new domain.
